Reconstruction facade, Budapest, József boulvard 66
Completed
2017
Budapest, District 8, József boulevard. In addition to redesigning the façade of this apartment building, built in 1892 in Neo-Barroque style, I was also tasked with defining its colourways, getting planning permissions and harmonising the overhaul and reconstruction with the original blueprints. At present, the decrepit façade is much more understated than it had originally been constructed in 1931 which state we define as the original one; a full restoration therefore requires important modifications. We presented two versions for the urbanistic jury of the district and both was accepted. The neighbors community decided the simple renovation. The works finished in September, 2017.
